Redpoint Climbing Centre 2026

On 10 July 2026, 30 Year 7 pupils enjoyed an exciting and rewarding visit to Redpoint Climbing Centre, where they spent several hours testing themselves on a range of climbing challenges.

Throughout the session, pupils demonstrated excellent determination, resilience and teamwork as they tackled climbs of varying difficulty. For many, it was an opportunity to step outside their comfort zone and challenge themselves both physically and mentally. The atmosphere was positive and encouraging, with pupils supporting one another and celebrating each other’s achievements.

A particular highlight of the trip was hearing pupils compare the climbing walls at Redpoint to previous outdoor activities at Whitemoor Lakes. Several commented that they had climbed even higher than they had during their adventures there, which gave them a real sense of accomplishment. Many pupils spoke enthusiastically about how much they enjoyed the experience and how rewarding it was to see just how far they could push themselves.

The visit provided much more than just a fun afternoon. Climbing helps to develop confidence, problem-solving skills and perseverance, all of which are important qualities both inside and outside the classroom. It was fantastic to see so many pupils embracing these challenges with such enthusiasm and determination.

The behaviour of the group was excellent throughout the visit, and they were a real credit to the school. Staff were particularly impressed by the encouragement pupils showed towards their peers and the positive attitude they maintained during the session.

Overall, the trip was a tremendous success and gave pupils memories and experiences that they will undoubtedly carry forward into future challenges.
