Y12 at English Schools Athletics Championships

Nine of our year 12 students were invited to work in the computer results team at the English Schools Athletics Championships, held at the Alexander Stadium in Birmingham. The Championships are the fourth largest in the world, with over 2000 athletes competing over the two day event. The Championships were covered live by SKY TV on Saturday 6th July, and the boys worked closely with the SKY team to make sure that the correct results went from the athletics track to the SKY commentary box, and the large stadia screens. They were excellent ambassadors for our School.

The boys involved were: Haroon Gulfraz, Arjan Lal, Waseem Hussain, Tanassar Nasir,
Ravail Khan, Richard Thomas, Jamel Allen, Amandeep Dhaliwal and Manpreet Shergill.
