As part of the Religious Studies course on Sikhism, year 7 students visited the Gurdwara served by Nishkam Sewak Jatha on the Soho Road. The boys had been studying the concept of ‘sewa’ (selfless service) in the classroom and the trip enabled them to see ‘sewa’ in action. We were told about the history of the Gurdwara and many of the activities that take place there. The students were taken to the roof of the Gurdwara and they were able to visit the ‘dome’. It was an extremely memorable trip and we thank the Guru Nanak Nishkam Sewak Jatha for their hospitality and Mrs Chandan for being a fabulous guide.
